321 Chicago Restaurant

312 Chicago Restaurant

I ate at 312 Chicago 3 nights in a row for convenience as I stayed at the Allegro Hotel Chicago. After a 24 hour journey and a hair-raising landing into the windy city it was so good not to have to worry about finding good fresh food.

The other two night I ate with friends and colleagues and found the food and service to be consistent on all 3 nights.

There were quite a few different dietary requirements too which the kitchen and staff accommodated with no trouble at all! I would recommend eating at 321 Chicago for any occasion!

P.S. I ordered the Salmon the first and third nights, not photo’s, sorry I’d recommend that too! Here’s the menu description – Roasted Faroe Island Salmon, Tri-Colored Lentils, Cipollini Onions, Kale, Lemon-Thyme Oil

Entrees

Rucoletta – Arugula, warm shitake mushrooms, goat cheese, balsamic vinaigrette

This simple salad was delicious! The arugula (rocket for all my Aussie readers) mushrooms and goats cheese worked really well together. I ordered it the following night too!

Main Dishes

Filetto – Grilled beef tenderloin, tri-colored fingerling potatoes, truffle butter, porcini mushroom sauce

My photography doesn’t do this meal the justice it deserves! I asked for the sauce to be served on the side so the dish appears a little sparse. The fillet steak (medium-rare) was cooked to perfection and I’d highly recommend it. In fact the first night I met with the group all but one ordered this dish.

The following night and a larger group, some of our group missed out on the fillet for the night ordering the rib eye instead and were not disappointed and were equally impressed with the quality of the steak!
